The membership of Moreland First Baptist Church maintains a weekly updated prayer list. Each Sunday morning, these individuals & needs are shared and a portion of our service is dedicated to intercessory prayer on behalf of them. Printed as part of our weekly worship guide, our members can take these names home and pray for each one throughout the week.
Paul admonishes all believers to pray without ceasing (I Timothy 5:17). He counsels us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know to God (Philippians 4:6). James encouraged us to pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much (James 5:16). Jesus promised that whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it (John 14:13-14). The membership at Moreland First Baptist Church believes in the power of prayer!
We encourage our membership and social media followers to share their prayer needs & concerns with us so that we can covenant together in agreeing with God for His answer, provision and miracle-producing power to be made manifest in your life. Partnership in prayer provides God the opportunity to bring to fulfillment His promise that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven (Matthew 18:19).
